Rating American players in Europe: More are struggling than excelling

As recently as the summer, there was plenty of optimism for Americans abroad for the 2018-19 season. Many of the younger generation of players, many of whom are now central to the U.S. national teamrebuild, had found themselves at impressive clubs. Now as most seasons reach their halfway point, that optimism has changed into concern.
