The U.S. Open moves into the third round of local qualifying with 12 of 14 games scheduled for this weekend.
The Oakland Stompers' game against Academica SC from Turlock was postponed
because of the dangerous air quality in the Bay Area from the smoke from the Camp Fire in Northern California. The match between amateur rivals Motagua New Orleans and NTX Rayados will also be played
at a later date after Motagua's second-round game had been moved back.
NTX Rayados is one of five local qualifiers from the 2018 Open Cup still in the quest for berths in the 2019 U.S.
Open Cup. The others are Santa Ana Winds, FC Denver, Christos FC and Rochester Lancers 2 (former River Dogz).
The entrants also include three-time Open Cup champion New York Pancyprian
Freedoms and Cal FC, which made the quarterfinals in 2012 and was just announced as an entrants in the NPSL's 2019 Founders Cup.
Cal FC plays in the UPSL, which has 13 teams scattered
around the country still alive in qualifying.
