Alex Mendez tied an American record for most goals scored at the Concacaf U-20 Championship when his two goals gave him eight in seven games and a 2-0 win for the USA over Mexico in Wednesday’sfinal. Both goals were set up by FC Dallas midfield Paxton Pomykal.
