Ethan Horvath has started two games for Club Brugge in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and has two shutouts.
After Brugge's 4-0 win at Monaco, the reigning Belgian champion tied Borussia Dortmund, 0-0, at the Signal Iduna Park.
Horvath faced Christian Pulisic in just the third meeting of U.S. internationals in the Champions League. Pulisic was the liveliest of the BVB attackers in the first half but fired
straight at Horvath with his best chance early in the first half.
The draw moved Dortmund into the Champions League knockout stage along with Atletico, which beat Monaco, 2-0, earlier on
Tuesday. Club Brugge will move into the Europa League.
Weston McKennie didn't dress for Schalke 04 for the first time in the 2018 group stage. The German club lost at Porto, 3-1,
but both teams were already through to the round of 16.
Tim Weah hasn't yet dressed in the group stage for Paris St. Germain, which beat Liverpool, 2-1, at home to move into second
place ahead of the Reds in Group C.
