David Villa and Andres Iniesta are coming to California with Vissel Kobe

David Villa, who left MLS's New York City FC after the 2018 season, will be back in the United States in January with his new club, the J-League's Vissel Kobe, for preseason camp.

Villa only bid goodbye to New York City FC and MLS a month ago, but he'll face some familiar opposition in a few of his first games with his new club.

Vissel Kobe, whose squad also includes Andres Iniesta and Lukas Podolski, will play the Columbus Crew, LAFC and Toronto FC and Orange County SC during their stay Jan. 24-Feb. 5 in Southern California.

Vissel Kobe schedule:
Jan. 28. vs. Columbus Crew (at Orange County Champions Stadium).
Jan. 31. at Los Angeles FC (Bank of California Stadium).
Feb. 2. vs. Toronto FC (at Orange County Champions Stadium).
Feb. 5. at Orange County SC (Orange County Champions Stadium).
