Emerson Hyndman returns to Bournemouth after Hibs' loan expires

Emerson Hyndman's loan spell at Scottish club Hibernian has ended after only six months.

The 22-year-old midfielder returned to Bournemouth after his loan through Dec. 31 ended. He made 17 appearances (12 starts) for the Edinburgh club, eighth in the 12-team Scottish Premiership club.

His chances for playing time are greater in Scotland but he is needed back at Bournemouth as a backup in midfield, where the Cherries, 12th in the EPL, currently lack depth.

Hyndman was on loan in Scotland for the second time. He spent part of his first season after joining Bournemouth as a free agent from Fulham on loan to Rangers.

He spent all of his second season at Bournemouth but made just one EPL appearance.
