In his first public appearance since it was announced that he will join Chelsea this summer on a $73 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund, Christian Pulisic
said he was thankful for the
opportunity he got at Dortmund and he would not lose focus in its remaining months.
"The Bundesliga gave me an incredible platform to start my career," Pulisic said at Dortmund's training camp in Marbella, Spain, on Saturday." I've had an amazing five years in Germany
and I'm very thankful for that."
Dortmund entered the winter break in first place with a six-point lead in the Bundesliga and has also advanced to the round of 16 in both the UEFA
Champions League and German Cup.
"We've got big goals and it could be a really special year for us," said Pulisic. "We all have a special feeling that we can really achieve something. We
have the right players, the right system. We're top of the table, but that counts for nothing. We need to stay focused."
He said he was glad to have the decision on his next club out of

Pulisic's playing time has dropped this season but he said it did not factor
