What They're Saying: Eric Quill

“This kid’s going to be the starting center back for the national team in the next World Cup. I completely believe that. He’s got more. He’s getting better and better and better. His ceiling is so high. He’s different than anything we’ve ever had as a center back because I think his range of passing is better than any center back we’ve ever seen in the United States.”

-- Houston Texans coach Eric Quill on 18-year-old Alabaman Chris Richards, whom he convinced to leave the Texans, the 2017 Development Academy U-18/19 champions, for FC Dallas, which had earlier rejected him. FC Dallas soon signed him to a pro contract but had to loan him to partner Bayern Munich because he wasn't yet eligible to play under MLS's Homegrown rules. Bayern is set to buy Richards from FC Dallas for a reported $1.5 million and a 40 percent sell-on clause. (Goal.com)

So, he was at FC Dallas for one year and they will get $ and the Texans get 0? Doesn’t seem right.
