What's in the news ...

1. Orlando Pride has named Marc Skinner as its head coach, replacing Tom Sermanni, who coached the team for its first three NWSL seasons. Skinner, 35, joins the Pride after two and a half seasons as the manager at Birmingham City Women in England’s FA Women’s Super League. His last game was Sunday's 1-0 home loss to Bristol City that dropped Birmingham City to fourth in the league. He had started his career in the club’s girls development program at its Centre of Excellence.

2. Frank de Boer's coaching staff at Atlanta United will include assistants Orlando Trustfull, Bob de Klerk and Rob Valentino. Trustfull worked with de Boer at Ajax, Inter Milan and Crystal Palace. De Klerk has experience in MLS under Aron Winter at Toronto FC. Valentino was promoted from Atlanta United 2, where he was an assistant in its first season. Aron Hyde will remain on the staff as goalkeeper coach.

3. Ian Sarachan, the son of Dave Sarachan, has been named as an assistant coach at Creighton under new men's head coach Johnny Torres. Sarachan, who played four seasons at UIC, spent three seasons as an assistant at Santa Clara after working at Wisconsin for two years.
