What's in the news ...

1. The Seattle Sounders will partner with online retailer Zulily as their first new jersey sponsor since joining MLS in 2009. What is unique is that Zulily is also partnering with the NWSL's Seattle Reign to support pro soccer in the Puget Sound area. Zulily is headquartered in Seattle, with corporate offices in Ohio as well as distribution centers in Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and China. The Sounders, who partnered with Xbox for their first 10 seasons, retain naming rights on the field at CenturyLink Field and at their training facility in Tukwila, as well as the rights to sell the jersey sponsorship to S2, their USL team.

2. The Columbus Crew re-signed 35-year-old midfielder Ricardo Clark for what will be his 15th season in MLS. He joined the Crew in 2018 after spending the previous 10 MLS seasons in Houston. He also played for the MetroStars and at San Jose in addition to stints in Germany and Norway. Clark started for the USA when it reached the final at the 2009 Confederations Cup and second round at the 2010 World Cup.

3. Univision Deportes will be giving Mexico's second-year Liga MX Femenil regular coverage for the Torneo Clausura. UDN will be airing women's league matches from Mexico on Monday nights, beginning with the Tigres-Atlas game on Jan. 21. Monday is the preferred day for Liga MX Femenil action.
