The Columbus Crew named Pat Onstad
as its technical director, making him the highest-ranking member of the MLS club's technical staff that has stayed on following the sale of the team and the
move by sporting director and head coach Gregg Berhalter
to become U.S. men's national team coach.
Onstad, the former Canadian international who won three MLS Cup titles in seven
years (2003 with San Jose and 2006 and 2007 with Houston), was Berhalter's goalkeeper coach and served as interim general manager during the recent transition. New Crew president Tim
is in charge of both the soccer and business sides of the operations.
Prior to joining Columbus, Onstad was an assistant coach at D.C. United (2011-13) and the chief
scout and manager of football partnerships at Toronto FC (2013-2014).

Matkovic has been involved in youth soccer for many years, going back to the Chicago Magic, which he founded in 1987. He has worked for the Chicago Fire, Chivas USA and Toronto FC as well as served as
the head coach of the U.S. U-18 men’s national team.
Reis, who enjoyed a 16-year playing career in MLS, has been the goalkeeper coach of the men's national team for the last two
years after serving in the same role at the LA Galaxy for the previous three years.
Moreira was the director of soccer operations under Porter at Akron and then joined him when he moved
to the Portland Timbers in 2014, serving as a video analyst and then assistant coach.
