Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. ESPN+ will stream every game in the new USL League One, in addition to the USL Championship. The third division league will kick off the weekend of March 29-30 with 10 teams. All USL games will be produced by USL Productions. Launched in April 2018, ESPN+ soccer programming includes matches from MLS as well as Serie A, England’s FA Cup and many other leagues and competitions around the world.

2. Sporting Kansas City is teaming up with the baseball Royals on co-branded promotions offering beanies and scarves featuring both Sporting and Royals logos. On April 13, the Royals will play the Cleveland Indians and offer a ticket package that includes a custom-designed beanie. The next evening, Sporting KC will host New York Red Bulls and offer a ticket package that includes a scarf featuring both the Royals and Sporting logos.

3. The Seattle Sounders' local and regional coverage encompasses six different media partners. JOEtv will again broadcast all matches not aired nationally and You Tube TV (expanded to cover the entire state of Washington) has streaming rights for the same games. Univision-Seattle will be the Spanish-language home for select matches, while Q13 FOX will do a weekly sportscast and two feature-length Sounders specials. Radio partners Sports Radio 950 KJR AM and El Rey 1360 AM will carry all Sounders matches and do pregame and postgame shows.
