The victory moves the Red Bulls into the quarterfinals against Mexico's Santos Laguna, which they host in the first
leg next Wednesday at Red Bull Arena.
Goals by Sean Davis, Daniel Royer (his second in two games) and sub Andreas Ivan gave the Red Bulls the win that extended their CCL unbeaten streak at Red Bull Arena to nine games (6-0-3 record).
Red Bulls coach Chris Armas started the same lineup as in the first leg in Santo Domingo. Academy product Kyle Duncan came on in the second half for Michael Amir Murillo at right back for his first action since suffering a knee injury in March 2018. Murillo will miss the home match against Santos after picking up his second yellow card in two games.
The Red Bulls open MLS play Saturday at Columbus.
