1. Andrija Novakovich scored one goal and added an assist for Fortuna Sittard in a critical 3-1 win over Emmen in its bid to avoid relegation in the Dutch Eredivisie. Novakovich scored his seventh goal of the season with Fortuna Sittard's third goal of the first half in the second minute of stoppage time. Fortuna Sittard temporarily moved into 12th place, four points clear of the relegation zone in the 18-team Eredivisie.

2. Former U.S. national team defender Jonathan Spector signed with Scotland's Hibernian on a short-term deal. The 33-year-old defender spent 16 seasons in England, debuting with Manchester United in 2004. He later played at Charlton Athletic, West Ham United and Birmingham City before moving to MLS's Orlando City, where he spent two seasons. His last appearance for the USA was in October 2015.

3. UDN's coverage of the Club-America-Guadalajara SuperClasico drew 867,000 viewers, making it the most-watched Copa MX quarterfinal ever and highest-rated soccer match on cable television this year. The audience was more than TNT drew for its two UEFA Champions League broadcasts combined: Bayern Munich-Liverpool (454,000) and Juventus-Atletico Madrid (408,000).
