1. D.C. United signed 16-year-old forward Griffin Yow to a Homegrown Player contract three days after he scored Loudoun United's first USL Championship goal. Loudoun United is D.C. United's new second team. Yow, who has been playing for the U.S. under-17 national team, spent four years with the D.C. United academy and scored 41 goals in 68 Development Academy appearances.

2. New York Red Bulls midfielder Florian Valot confirmed the injury he suffered on Saturday was another torn ACL, this time on his right knee. The 26-year-old French midfielder was in pain as he left the field in the first half of the 4-1 win over San Jose. Valot had attended Rider College and starred for the Red Bulls II before earning an MLS contract in 2018 when scored three goals and added five assists in 13 games before tearing his ACL in his left knee.

3. Mexico's SuperClasico drew 1.5 million viewers on Univision, making it the highest-rated soccer match on any network in 2019, regardless of language. Saturday's match was the second America-Chivas meeting of the week. Their rare Copa MX matchup drew 867,000 viewers on UDN, making it the most-watched Copa MX quarterfinal telecast ever on U.S. television.
