Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. New York City FC signed 27-year-old Brazilian forward Heber from Croatia's HNK Rijeka. He has scored 35 goals in three seasons in Croatia, one with Slaven Belupo and two with HNK Rijeka. He played in UEFA Champions League and Europa League qualifying the last two seasons and in the group stage of the Europa League in 2017.

2. Nashville SC will move into its new soccer stadium for the start of the 2022 season and play its first two MLS seasons at Nissan Stadium, the home of the NFL titans. In a letter to Nashville fans, CEO Ian Ayre said the size and scope of the stadium project required that the construction timeline be adjusted and the club did not want to open at the new stadium in the middle of the season.

3. Former U.S. U-17 star Joe Gallardo has signed with the Richmond Kickers, who have moved from the USL Championship to USL League One. Gallardo, 21, was one of the top scorers on the USA's 2015 Under-17 World Cup team that included Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adams as well as Haji Wright, Luca de la Torre and Auston Trusty, but a broken leg set him back. He started his career in Mexico but hasn't played professionally since 2017 with Orlando City B.
