What They're Saying: Gyasi Zardes

"I was like, 'Going, going, going.' And sure enough, it went in. You got to shoot. If you don't shoot, you don't score."

-- Gyasi Zardes, who scored the only goal in the USA's 1-0 win over Ecuador when his long-range shot late in the game hit off Ecuadoran defender Robert Arboleda and popped in the air over backpedaling keeper Alexander Dominguez and off the crossbar into the goal. It was Zardes' first international goal since he scored against Ecuador -- also the game-winner -- in the 2016 Copa Centenario quarterfinals. (AP)
