“The DFB’s appearance has long been in need of improvement.”

-- Andreas Rettig, the managing director of German second division club St. Pauli, at the opening of the Hall of Fame of German soccer on Tuesday in Dortmund, where he said German federation president Reinhard Grindel would not be inducted. Grindel resigned amid a growing number of scandals, not the least of which was Germany's failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup second round. It's the third straight DFB regime to collapse in the wake of scandal. The last two presidents were charged with tax evasion. (Deutsche Welle)
