Saturday morning: What's in the news ...

1. The 1999 U.S. Women's World Cup championship team will be honored at halftime of Sunday's USA-Belgium match, the first women's international match played at LAFC's Banc of California Stadium. About 40 other former national team players will also be in attendance for various events. Only team captain Carla Overbeck and Tiffeny Milbrett from the '99ers are unable to attend.

2. American striker Andrija Novakovich was been named to the Eredivisie Team of the Month for March. The Wisconsin native, on loan from English club Reading, scored three goals and added an assist for Fortuna Sittard. Novakovich leads Fortuna Sittard with eight league goals in addition to one goal in cup play.

3. U.S. under-18 goalkeeper John Pulskamp signed with the Swope Park Rangers, Sporting Kansas City's USL second team. He spent the 2017-18 season in the LA Galaxy academy after playing at California-based academies Real So Cal and Central California Aztecs. Pulskamp, 17, had a trial at English club Bournemouth last summer.
