Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. Inter Miami has been hit with another suit as it seeks to find a home before its 2020 launch as an MLS expansion team. FXE Futbol has sued David Beckham's ownership group and the city of Fort Lauderdale after Fort Lauderdale commissioners gave approval for Inter Miami, favoring the MLS group over FXE Futbol, to redevelop the site of Lockhart Stadium and build a new 18,000-seat stadium that would serve as its MLS home for at least 2020 and 2021. Inter Miami has also been in negotiations with the city of Miami to build a stadium as part of a development at Melreese golf course.

2. The Chicago Red Stars signed a broadcasting deal to air 16 of their 23 remaining NWSL games on NBC Sports Chicago. Seven games, including Saturday's home opener against Portland, will air on NBC Sports Chicago+. In addition, authenticated NBC Sports Chicago subscribers will able to view a live stream of every Red Stars telecast at NBC Sports Chicago's Web site.

3. The Columbus Crew hired Neil McGuinness as its director of scouting. McGuinness was the first-team senior scout at Celtic when it signed Virgil Van Dijk, now at Liverpool, and most recently he worked for the Qatar Football Association as a recruiter.
