Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. Costa Rican midfielder David Guzman has been reunited with Caleb Porter in Columbus. Guzman, 29, was traded from the Portland Timbers to the Crew for an international roster slot. Porter was his coach in his first season with the Timbers in 2017. Guzman, who appeared at the 2018 World Cup for Costa Rica, started for Portland at MLS Cup 2018 but made just five appearances this season, losing his starting job to Cristhian Paredes.

2. FC Cincinnati will launch its boys academy in 2019-20 with teams playing at two different age levels: under-15 and under-16/17. There is currently one boys Development Academy program in the Tri-State area. Cincinnati United Premier fields DA teams in the U-12 to U-15 age group. FCC plans on building out its development pyramid over the next few years.

3. Honduras called up four USL players for the Under-20 World Cup: Jack Jean Baptiste (Loudoun United), Wesley Decas (Atlanta United 2), Luis Palma (Real Monarchs) and Cesar Romero (Colorado Springs Switchbacks). Paolo Belloni-Urso (Harvard University) and Alex Bahr (Atlanta United 2) had been at a camp the Catrachos held in April but aren't in the team in Slovakia for training.
