Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. Ian Harkes started for Dundee United, which beat Inverness, 1-0, on the road in the first leg of the Scottish Championship promotion playoffs. Dundee United, which finished second behind Ross County, is seeking to return to the Premier League after an absence of three years. Harkes has played 13 games for Dundee United since arriving as a free agent from D.C. United in January.

2. MyCujoo has reached an agreement with the NPSL to stream its games for the rest of the 2019 season and 2020 season. The NPSL deal follows a similar agreement reached with the UPSL and deals with women's leagues UWS and WPSL. The Amsterdam-based streaming firm has agreements with leagues in Brazil, Malaysia and Japan and the Oceania Football Confederation.

3. John Deeley, who has spent 22 years on the UConn men's staff and the last 18 as the associate head coach, has departed. He also worked under UConn head coach Ray Reid for eight seasons when Reid was the head coach at Southern Connecticut State, which won Division II titles in 1990, 1992 and 1995. UConn captured its second Division I title in 2000.
