Canada's Gold Cup team includes four teenagers

Bayern Munich's 18-year-old Alphonso Davies is one of four teenagers named to Canada's roster for the Gold Cup, where it faces Martinique, Mexico and Cuba in group play.

Also picked were Jonathan David (19), Liam Miller (19) and Noble Okello (18). In all, eight of the 23 players in John Herdman's squad are 21 or younger. Okello is one of 12 MLS players called up.

The other 11 players hail from clubs in eight different countries. They include Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson, who will be making his sixth appearance at the Gold Cup, equaling the Canadian record held by Julian de Guzman.

Canada will play the USA this fall in the new Concacaf Nations League.
