1. The Tampa Bay Rowdies remained unbeaten after 13 games
with a 2-0 win at the expansion Birmingham Legion. Sebastian Guenzatti and Andrew
Tinari scored for the Rowdies. Canadian Malik Johnson, 21, made his first USL start for the Rowdies and assisted on Tinari's goal. Johnson was one of three starters who are 21 or younger along with
20-year-old Caleb Richards (on loan from Norwich City) and 18-year-old Jordan Doherty (on loan from Sheffield United).
-- Results: USL Championship (Week 13) 2. Nazmi Albadawi has returned to North Carolina FC
after spending the last year and a half with FC Cincinnati, first for its final USL season and
then the first part of its inaugural MLS campaign. Albadawi, who debuted for NCFC on Saturday in a 1-1 tie at Hartford, will play on loan through the 2019 season and has agreed to terms on a deal that
runs through 2020. He played for NCFC for four seasons in the NASL, where he set the single-season assist record in 2016. 3.
Cardiff City, which was relegated from the Premier League,
will play a pair of USL Championship clubs this summer: San Antonio FC on June 13 and New Mexico United on June 18. The Bluebirds will
also play a friendly in Edmonton on July 20.
