Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. Emmanuel Sabbi scored in Hobro's last three games of the Danish promotion-relegation playoffs to help it stay in the SuperLiga. He had the lone goal in the 1-0 win over Viborg in the first leg of the final series and the second goal in the 2-0 win in the second leg. He scored five goals in the 2018-19 season but none in the second half of the campaign.

2. The Flint City Bucks won their third consecutive Steinbrecher Cup with a 3-0 win over USL League Two rival Chicago United FC in the final. The three goals from Giuseppe Barone, Brayden McNitt and Kevin Buca came in the first 38 minutes. FC Motown took third place with a 3-1 over the host Milwaukee Bavarians. The USASA amateur cup competition involves the U.S. Amateur Cup champion, the NPSL and USL League Two champions and defending Steinbrecher Cup champion. (The current NPSL and USL League Two champions were ineligible.)

3. Hugo Perez has joined Alianza de Futbol as head coach of the U-14 Alianza All Stars who will compete in the ICC Futures Tournament. Perez, who played for the USA at the 1984 Olympics and 1994 World Cup, coached the U.S. U-14 and U-15 boys national teams and currently coaches in the Silicon Valley Soccer Academy. He will pick the players from local and national Allstate Sueno Alianza tryouts. This year's ICC Futures Tournament will be played Dec. 10-16 in Bradenton, Florida
