What They're Saying: Frank de Boer

“I hate it. But they love it. So what matters more?”

-- Frank de Boer on the adjustments he has had to make as head coach at Atlanta United, where the team with its core of South American players continues to play "recreativo," a loose pickup game, on the last practice before game-day, in contrast to the structured practices he used to run at Ajax. Well done coach. There’s more than one way of doing things.

Excellent..You need to allow the players to be creative...In other words what they are doing is taking some of the aspects of PICKUP soccer, the creative part, that you also need as a player and unfortunately it is an element the American players don't experience in their development
I"m surprised on Frank's reaction, coming from Ajax, a team noted for producing great players, technicians of the game.

I hope SA will interview some of the Atlanta players on what they are learning from Frank de Boer and hopefully an INTERVIEW with Frank de Boer....We've  had TATA here for 2 years and no interview... considering what he had accomplished with Atlanta.
Lets get on the ball SA......
