1. Once again, the USL Championship's Saint Louis FC will be at home and USL Championship expansion team New Mexico United will have to take to the road in the U.S. Open Cup's round of 16. Saint Louis FC will host FC Cincinnati while New Mexico United, which leads the USL Championship in attendance, will travel to FC Dallas. They are the only remaining lower division teams in the tournament.

2. U.S. Soccer has opened Fan Studio in Chicago, where it is based, to serve as a base for fans during the Women's World Cup.  Fan Studio, located at 1021 West Lake Street, will be open during the day through July 15, and include a retail space for U.S. Soccer gear. Fans will be able to take photos with previous Women's World Cup trophies. There will also be a viewing event at Chicago's Gallagher Way for the Chile game on Sunday.

3. MLS expansion team Austin FC announced deposits for season tickets for its 2021 launch passed 30,000. Fans can reserve up to eight seats per account for $50 (general seating and supporter section) or $100 (premium seating), both refundable. The Austin city council gave Austin FC zoning approvals last week for its 20,500-seat stadium, and the latest stadium renderings were released on Monday.
