    I don't think any player liked the introduction of penalty kicks to resolve ties, but replaying a tied tournament match wasn't acceptable to the business side of soccer.

     The soccer penalty shootout is the the greatest event in sports.

      It is a test of nerves, skill, alertness and all-around guts.
