Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. The USA's 1-0 win over Curacao in the Gold Cup quarterfinals averaged 1.6 million viewers on Univision, making it the most-watched U.S. men's match since USA-Mexico in September 2018.  The USA has averaged 1.2 million on Univision during Gold Cup play. Mexico has averaged 2.7 million viewers for its four Gold Cup games on the Spanish-language and drawn the four most-watched men’s matches of the year on U.S. television.

2. Dutch network NPO1’s live coverage of the Netherlands-Italy Women's World Cup match was viewed by 80.3 percent of people watching Dutch TV, the highest share figure reported during the tournament so far across all competing nations. The audience for the match was 2.701 million, almost twice as many viewers as the highest rated non-World Cup programming for the day.

3. Liverpool's three-game U.S. tour will be available on American television thanks to a new partnership with Turner Sports. TNT will carry matches at Notre Dame against Borussia Dortmund on July 19 and at Yankee Stadium against Portugal's Sporting on July 24. In addition to the Liverpool-Dortmund and Liverpool-Sporting games, the Reds' match against Sevilla at Boston’s Fenway Park on July 21 will be streamed live via B/R Live.
