What They're Saying: Tata Martino

"I think is that the United States is in very good hands. Gregg is coaching the United States national team, I’m managing Mexico’s national team. Tomorrow there’s no lesson of any type. We’re two managers, the teams in front of us are in front of us and one will go out happy and the other sad."

-- Mexico coach Tata Martino, on whether a victory by El Tri over the USA in the Gold Cup final would be any kind of statement to U.S. Soccer, which sought out a coach fluent in English and did not consider him. The former Atlanta United coach said he had a lot of respect for Berhalter as a coach and person, having coached against him when he was at the Columbus Crew. (Goal.com)

Kind words from Tata. Even friendly matches against Mexico aren't very friendly.

Hopefully the same USA team that played Jamaica will show up tonight against Mexico.
