Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. Three Americans -- Michael Bradley, Aaron Long and Christian Pulisic -- were named to the Gold Cup Best XI. Mexico striker Raul Jimenez won the Golden Ball as the tournament's best player, while Canada's Brooklyn-born teenager Jonathan David won the Golden Boot as the top scorer. The LA Galaxy's Jonathan dos Santos, who scored the winning goal in Mexico's 1-0 win over the USA in the final, was also named to the Best XI.

2. ESPN will be the U.S. English-language home for the Leagues Cup, the competition pitting four MLS teams against four teams from Liga MX. ESPN+ will exclusively stream three quarterfinal matches and ESPN will televise the fourth quarterfinal match. ESPN2 will televise the two semifinal matches and the final, which will be played on Sept. 18.
 
3. Finnish-American defender Niko Hamalainen has returned to England's QPR upon the conclusion of his six-month loan with LAFC. He joined the MLS club in February and made only three appearances.

    "bradley" named to best XI.  Shows just how weak this conference is.   He did a great job walking around the field.   Heck, lets bring back Donovan and Dempsey.  The USSF has no vision and we will never imporove with the current leadership.  Predition: USA non-qualifier for 2022

    A prediction of perdition?  I had to ask.  But that's where USMNT is already.  So more perdition.
