The USL's Pittsburgh Riverhounds announced plans to construct a health and sports complex in suburban Coraopolis.
The Riverhounds are partnering with Highmark Health and Allegheny Health Network on the complex that will include an onsite medical facility.
This complex will serve as the practice site for the Riverhounds' first team and home for their development academy. It will include 10 regulation-sized soccer and multipurpose fields, including two full-sized indoor fields, in addition to AHN's 20,000-square-foot medical facility.
The project has two construction phases. AHN’s medical facility and an attached indoor soccer field will be completed next summer. The second phase will consist of adding other fields. Two of outdoor soccer fields are already completed and in use.
