Defending champion Miami FC rallies to reach NPSL semifinals

Defending champion Miami FC scored four second-half goals to overcome a 1-0 deficit and beat Tulsa Athletic, 4-1, to win the NPSL's South regional final.

The New York Cosmos B, ASC San Diego and Cleveland SC also advanced.

Two goals by Ariel Martinez iced the win for Miami FC after fellow Cuban Dario Suarez came off the bench and put Miami FC ahead in the 69th minute. Miguel Gonzalez tied the score in the 61st minute to cancel out Aboubakr Diallo's first half goal for Tulsa.

Ansi Agolli and Junior Burgos scored in the second half to lift the Cosmos B to a 3-1 victory over FC Baltimore Christos in the Northeast regional final at Mitchel Athletic Complex. Agolli, the former Albanian national team captain, had the winner for the second consecutive match after scoring in the 1-0 win over the Brooklyn Italians in the North Atlantic Conference final.

Cleveland SC is the only semifinalist not slated to play in the Founders Cup this fall after beating Detroit City FC, 3-2, in a shootout in the Midwest final before 4,568 fans at Keyworth Stadium. Cleveland came back from 2-0 down at the half to tie the score at 2-2 thanks to goals from Tom Beck and Antonio Manfut.
