What They're Saying: Matt Williams

“At this point, they’ve kind of got me. I wouldn’t sign up for it today if it were at the prices it’s at. But because of the experience I’ve had and because I know the people that are in the seats around me, I’m going to continue.”

-- Matt Williams, who is an LAFC season-ticket holder along with his wife since the team's start in 2018 and has seen the price of each seat go up from $35 to $55 in 2019 to $65 for 2020. LAFC, which is on course to break the MLS record for the best record in the regular season, has sold out every game and capped season-ticket sales at 17,500 for 22,000-seat Banc of California Stadium. LAFC president Tom Penn termed the experience of an LAFC home game “the best in American pro sports.” (Los Angeles Times)

Hey Matt, at least your owners are trying to win and investing in the team.  Houston is raising prices on longtime loyal fans, reducing options, reducing benefits, requiring 2020 be committed to right now, all while investing nothing in the team and being the cheapest club in the league and the worst game day experience.
