MLS Homegrown all-stars rally twice to win for first time in six years

Toronto FC midfielder Noble Okello tied the score at 2-2 in second-half stoppage time, and San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski made two saves in the shootout as the MLS Homegrown Team beat the Guadelajara U-20s in the 2019 MLS Homegrown Game.



The MLS Homegrowns came back twice. The New York Red Bulls rookie Omir Fernandez scored in the second minute after Irving Martinez put Chivas ahead in the first minute. In the second half, Sebastian Martinez gave Chivas their second lead.

In the shootout, the MLS HGs won, 3-0, to earn their first victory in six contests.
