“If they had, Marianne Williamson would have told U.S. Soccer to pay the women more than the men, since it is the women that are world champions."

-- Patricia Ewing, a spokeswoman for Williamson’s Democratic presidential campaign, saying no one from U.S. Soccer had reached out ahead of the July debate to argue its side of the pay dispute with members of the U.S. women's national team that is the subject of litigation in Federal court. A lobbyist for U.S. Soccer reached out to at least five other campaigns. (Politico)

That statement is effectively telling USSF lobbyists to stay away. I imagine that they didn't approach Williamson because she is a woman and unlike to support gender discrimination.

I wonder if next they will try to tell her that they are paying the women more than the men.

I remember one case where the judge interrupted opposing counsel's opening statement to ask why he should believe the management analysis. Of course the attorney was stunned and had no response. Judges' don't like their time wasted.
