Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

1. Former U.S. women's national team goalkeeper Hope Solo will be co-hosting a new show on BeIN Sports, “Weekend Winners” alongside Jeremy St. Louis. The weekly show will premiere next Monday at 7 p.m. ET and wrap up all the weekend action. She will also appear on various BeIN Sport shows spotlighting the launch of the new La Liga season, which kicks off on Friday. Solo had served as an analyst for the BBC during the Women's World Cup.

2. Orange County SC signed 14-year-old Francis Jacobs, making him the youngest male player to sign a pro contract in U.S. soccer history. Jacobs spent last season playing for the Irvine Strikers' U-15 team in the Development Academy. OCSC's previous youngest signing was goalkeeper Aaron Cervantes, who signed two years ago at the age of 15. He has become a regular in goal for OCSC this season, making eight appearances in the USL Championship.

3. The Montreal Impact's loan deal with Panamanian midfielder Omar Browne ended after four months when he returned to CA Independiente de La Chorrera. In 10 games, he scored two goals and added two assists. He arrived in mid-April after helping CAI beat Toronto FC in the first round of the 2019 Concacaf Champions League. But the last of his five starts was on June 5.
