I saw last nights match LAFC-SJE, and although I am glad for the outcome, at the beginning when they announced the game officials and saw who the center ref was (Stott- sp?), I commented that it was going to be a tough night iether for San Jose or LA,given the Ref's now well known penchant to making some strange calls. That Almeyda was ejected, I don't feel it was warranted, yet all the ref had to do, or the fourth official, is to try and calm the situation, which I feel he didn't do. Actually, he the Ref missed two calls that ought to have been carding situations, that even the announcers decried the latantly missed calls. The close hand ball non-calls, and then what eventually transpired that set Almeyda off. That Ref, IMHO, had an off night; that Almeyda blew his top, definitely a "non sporting situation," and he ought to have known better. So for the future, and remaining games PRO must be careful in assigning game officials whenever San Jose and Almeyda take the field.... I fear the worst, since the coach will definitely serve a suspension and a fine, and the Ref needs to have this last game scrutinized, and having watched enough Chivas games (Liga MX) with him at the helm, I was really suprised and taken aback as he was led off the pitch, and I betcha he is also.
