Slavia Sofia midfielder Wanderson, unaware of the offside flagging, celebrated for long after the ball returned to play from an indirect kick. Replays showed Wanderson had in fact
been onside and the goal wrongly called back.
Not only was Wanderson a couple of yards onside when the ball as originally played, a defender deliberately played the ball so it would not have mattered where Wanderson was as he was played onside by the defender's header. I think that the AR thought an attacker headed the ball to Wanderson, who looked to be just offside at that header. Plus the GK kicked a moving ball on the indirect kick. Keeping the flag down and having VAR (apparently not used in this competition) confirm the legitmate goal is the obvious solution.
