Men's College Weekend: Milan Iloski leads UCLA past Maryland with hat trick

UCLA knocked off defending champion Maryland, 3-2, for its second win of the season under new head coach Ryan Jorden.

Junior Milan Iloski scored all three goals for UCLA's first hat trick in nearly eight years.

No. 11 Maryland took the lead on a goal by Eric Matzelevich in the sixth minute, but Iloski connected with his brother, Eric, for an equalizer in the 19th minute, then scored twice in the second half to put the Bruins ahead. Brayan Padillapulled a goal back for Maryland, which fell to 1-2-0.

Golden Hoosiers. For the third consecutive game, Indiana won on a golden goal, beating Denver, 2-1, on junior forward Ian Black's goal.

Huskies' sweep. No. 12 Washington improved to 4-0-0 with 1-0 wins at No. 16 Michigan State and No. 25 Michigan. Lucas Meek and Kasey French scored the winners for the Huskies, who have not allowed a goal since the first minute of their season-opener.

Top 25 clash. A late game-tying goal by Preston Popp and a golden goal by Teddy Chaouche gave No. 14 Charlotte 2-1 win over No. 17 Coastal Carolina.
