What They're Saying: Matias Almeyda

"We play soccer, we don’t play baseball or basketball, so we need soccer stadiums. The measurements are different. It is a great stadium, but it is a small-sided field, it’s not real. It stops being realistic before the game even starts. If this league wants to be the best in the world, they cannot allow this to happen especially when there are very nice structures."

-- San Jose Earthquakes coach Matias Almeyda after his first trip to Yankee Stadium, where the Quakes fell to NYCFC, 2-1.
