More accurately, 3.5% is the percentage of applicants accepted that are female. 64% is the percentage of female applicants accepted. (9 out of 14)
Hmm, it seems that they may have intended to report the percentage of ACCEPTED applicants that were women (more or less than the 5.4% of the applicant pool?). However, they divided the accepted applicants (9) by all applicant (258). Perhaps we'll find out how many applicants were accepted, then we can solve this mystery and do the math ourselves. On pins and needles.
Wouldn't it be interesting to also know the percentage of men accepted?
I'd rather know how many coaches passed the course and how many failed. And what areas of the curriculum were the most troublesome.
