D.C. United announced that its final home match of the 2019 MLS regular season against FC Cincinnati on Sunday will be available to all fans free of charge through a live stream on dcunited.com
The move ends its relationship with FloSports, which launched subscription-based Flo FC to air 20 D.C. United matches in English and
Spanish language in 2019. Sunday's game would have been the last broadcast. All playoff games will air on national television.
Fans were upset about having to pay for a streaming service
to watch D.C. matches, but technical issues plagued the start of Flo FC's first D.C. United broadcast.
D.C. United was to receive $12 million over the four years of the deal, reported
the Washington Post. It announced plans for broadcast plans for the 2020
season and beyond will be made in due course.
Expansion MLS club FC Cincinnati also reached a deal for regional streaming rights with Flo FC.
