USA crushes El Salvador 6-1 in under-23 men's friendly

The U.S. under-23 men’s national team wrapped up its fourth camp of the year with a 6-1 win over El Salvador's U-23s at Florida International University in Miami.

Richard Ledezma had one goal and two assists off the bench, and Jonathan Lewis had a goal and an assist. Brooks Lennon scored the game's opening goal on an assist from Alex Mendez, while Sebastian Soto, Mason Toye and Manny Perez added goals after the break.

El Salvador, which has qualified for Concacaf's Olympic qualifying tournament in March 2020 in Guadalajara, Mexico, was playing its fifth game in nine games on a tour that also took La Selecta to Los Angeles and Atlanta.

The U.S. U-23s have has camps in Spain, Utah and South California. In September, they beat Japan, the 2020 Olympic host, 2-0.
