Bruce says ...

"I don’t think things are going great. I think there’s an inexperienced staff and it’s going to take them a little bit of time to get more experience and understand the international game, understand the profile of a player who can contribute at that level. They’re learning that. And then how do you create a national team environment? I still think that they’re a little, they’re not certain about that. They’re coaching a national team like it’s a club team."

-- New England Revolution coach Bruce Arena in an interview before Tuesday's USA-Canada game on the state of the men's national team, which he coached twice (1999-2006 and 2016-17). (The Athletic)

Bruce does have a way with words, doesn’t he? So, it’s tsken Berhalter a year to get to this point. At this rate, he may get it all figured out after the next World Cup is over.

A polite way of saying GB and staff are in over their heads.

I would've probably enjoyed reading the entire Brucie article, but why in heck do I need to get into another journal - at some costs? - as opposed to reading the entire piece in SA?  Maddening - just like the way the USMNT is playing right now!!!
