Zlatan says ...

“What happens next year, I don’t know. If I stay, I think for MLS It’s good because the whole world will watch it. If I don’t stay, nobody will remember what MLS is.”

As amazing as it may sound, I think MLS will still exist without Zlatan...

Wow!!! This guy's arrogance is worth of a member of the infamous Italian Borgia family, but parallel speaking, while the famous family faded into the sunset, the Vatican and Papacy still exists, so YOU ARE CORRECT SILVER REY!!!

Zlatan has been great for MLS, but just don't take him too seriously. He toys with the press and is looking to tweak the public consciousness whenever possible. Of course, that's no different from our other sports figures and all entertainment figures. Once you take them seriously, it all goes off the rails.

Reminds me of TV "wrestling". It is just marketing hype.

MLS will still exist but with less spectators.  He was definitely the reason I watched more MLS games than ever before.

Zlatan, has been excellent for the MLS, PR wise and soccer wise. He has also shown and proven how a 38 year old , with brains ,technique , flair and skills can successfuly exist playing in league full of “stampers und laufers”, runners and fighters with foam on the mouth, and can the be one of the leading goal scorers in the MLS. Without a doubt he has brought people into stadium wherever the Galaxy played.
we need players like this to come to the MLS who are head and shoulders above the players we have in the MLS. If he decides to retire, I can only say I’ve enjoyed watching him play, although not  necessarily the Galaxy as a whole. It reminds  me so much of the NASL days, when you would see a Cruyff, a Best, a Beckenbauer, Pele and so many others, but now it was Zlatan. I hope the MLS will search for players like Zlatan’s caliber to replace him, the league needs it in many ways...

Z has the sharp edge needed to be a great scorer. Much like Michael Jordan's Hall of Fame speech, Z's quote speaks volumes about tenacity and scoring at the highest levels.

Philip, the MLS needs players like that for he is all about TECHNIQUE , something the kids can takea way and learn from. Z continually proves that it's not about running, fighting but SKILLS ,CONFIDENCE AND POSITIONING...
