1. New Houston Dynamo head coach Tab Ramos named Omid Namazi and Pablo Mastroeni to his technical staff
as assistants. In recent years,
Namazi has worked with Ramos in the U.S. youth national team program and coached in Iran, serving on the staff of Team Melli, the Iranian national team, and as head coach of Zob Ahan. Mastroeni
joins the Dynamo after serving as the head coach of the Colorado Rapids during four seasons (2014-17). He spent 16 seasons in MLS and played for the USA at the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.
2. Former U.S. national team players Brandi Chastain and Leslie Osborne have joined
the California Storm’s board of directors.
The Sacramento-based Storm was one of the pioneering clubs in women's club soccer, owned and operated by Jerry Zanelli, the WPSL founder, until his death in November 2018. Sacramento has been
