USYNT Roster: Youngsters called into U-20 women's national team camp

Coach Mark Carr's 22-player squad for a week-long U-20 women's national team camp in Southern California includes a dozen 2002s, eight 2001s and two born in 2000. Players born in 2000 or later are eligible for the 2020 U-20 Women’s World Cup. With the college season still underway, only the roster includes only four collegians and the camp will primarily serve to evaluate players at younger part of the pool.

• The qualifying tournament for 2020 U-20 World Cup takes place in late February.

Eight of the players at the Nov. 4-10 camp in Carson, California, played on Carr's team at 2018 U-17 World Cup in Uruguay: goalkeeper Julia Dohle, defenders Michela Agresti, Samar Guidry and Smith Hunter, midfielders Hannah Bebar and Astrid Wheeler, and forwards Samantha Meza and Trinity Rodman.

Carr will have two more events after this camp before picking the roster for the Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship that serves as World Cup qualifying.
