The USA opened the four-team tournament with a 1-0 semifinal loss to Brazil, which lost in the final of the four-team tourney, 1-0, to Argentina.
The host's unofficial U-25 national team -- Gran Canaria is part of Spain -- filled in for Chile, which pulled out less than a week before the tournament. South American Olympic qualifying tournament takes place in January of 2020.
