NCAA Division II Men: Charleston claims second title in three years

Charleston won its second NCAA Division II men's championship in three years when it beat Cal State LA, 2-0, in Saturday's final in Pittsburgh.

Freddy Tracey, a senior from Sheffield, England, scored both goals for the Golden Eagles.

The first came in the 10th minute when Tracey scored into an empty goal after a defensive mixup by Cal State LA. In the 74th minute, Tracey finished off a Charleston attack, taking a pass from Spaniard Jesus Cabanas to add an insurance goal.

Alvaro Dean made six saves for Charleston, which finished with the best defense in the Division II ranks, conceding only eight goals in 25 games.
